W tegorocznym programie Google Summer of Code 2013 zostało zaakceptowanych 50 projektów dla różnych części środowiska graficznego KDE. Na stronie community.kde.org/GSoC znajdziemy szczegółowe informacje odnośnie kontaktu z mentorami oraz pisania kodu. Programy które będą rozwijane to m.in. DigiKam, Amarok, Marble, Calligra, Okular i ownCloud.
